Soccer, Swimming, and Mowing the Grass

Chase has really gotten into soccer lately and he has learned so much!  Last week we gave him a soccer goal and he was so excited!  After we finally got it put together in the driveway, he had so much fun kicking the ball in....

Here is a picture of the boys wearing their Superman pajamas that the Easter bunny gave them...I thought they looked cute!

Hank spending some time on Ruby's bed...he cracked me up sticking his seat up in the air!

Chase also recently started swimming lessons and he is loving it!  This is from the first lesson.  We are doing them with his friend David, and then we also ended up knowing the Mom of the other little girl in his class!  Chase was really excited when he realized that his swimming teacher's name is Drew..."just like Daddy".  This is what Chase did for the whole first lesson...he did not let go of the rail.  It was pretty funny to watch...he would look at his teacher like "that is a great thing you are showing me, but I'm not doing it."  He did blow bubbles that day and he talked about it for a week!  Since then, he has gone under every time, swam and kicked on his back with the teacher holding him, and swam and kicked on his stomach with the teacher holding him.  He has really done great and he is loving it!

We had to take some pictures to school of Chase helping around the house.  So, here is the one of him helping Daddy mow the grass..I just thought it was cute! :)

Soccer, Birthday party, and Fishing

The next weekend, Drew went fishing with his brothers and a few friends, so we were alone again :(  But, glad that he was having so much fun!  These are just some pictures of the boys that I took...

That Saturday morning, Hank and I took Chase to Soccer Shots!  He has been doing Soccer Shots at school for over a month now and has loved it!!!  They do it on Saturday mornings too, but this was the first Saturday morning we were able to go.  Chase had a great time and I had so much fun watching him!  Those coaches do such a great job getting the kids involved and teaching them so much!  Chase cracked me up, because he was always standing by one of his coaches doing exactly what they said :)

He looked so cute in his little soccer shorts and socks!

Here he is doing "control" to stop the ball...

Here he is kicking the ball...

Huddled up with the other kids...

This part made me laugh the most!  At the end, the coach told everyone to go stand by the goal and wait to get a stamp on their hand (which is Chase's favorite part!).  I heard the coach say "I said stand by the goal, not in it"...please take note of where Chase is standing (right BESIDE the goal).  He is so precious!

That afternoon we went to Montgomery for my cousin Jenn's little boy Jack's fourth birthday party!  We had a great time and it is always good to get to see them.  Mom, Dad, Anna, Alex, Chase, Hank, and I went.  Jackson was sick, so Hunter stayed home with him.  The party was a Spiderman party and the boys had so much fun!
Hank hogged Peg-P the whole time...he was so happy to have her all to himself!

There's the birthday boy in his Spiderman shirt!

Hank spent a long time eating ice out of the drink bucket :)...whatever makes him happy!

Hank, Chase, and Alex with Peg-P...

Jack, Hank, Chase, and Alex...Annie Elizabeth was in the picture, but she ran off before I could snap the camera!

While we were going to soccer and the birthday party, this is what Drew was doing.  He had a great time with his brothers and friends and I am so glad he got to go!  I really liked these pictures of Drew, Wes, and Clay...

Hank gets tubes

On April 4, Hank got tubes and his adenoids out.  Drew and I have been counting down the days for him to get tubes because we remember how great it was when Chase got them.  No matter how small of a procedure, though, you still worry when it is your baby.  We went to Children's South that morning for the procedure.  When we got in the room, mom's friend, Mrs. Connie (who is a nurse there but wasn't working that day), had left a toy for Hank.  That was so sweet of her and meant so much that she remembered him.  Everyone was so nice!  Here is Hank with me before we put his gown on him...

We had to put a gown on him since they were taking his adenoids out....I could've eaten him up in that little gown!  I asked Drew if he thought we could keep it, but he said "no".  They also had to intubate Hank and put an IV in since he was getting his adenoids out.  It is not a great feeling when the Daddy anesthesiologist-to-be looks at you and says "I'm kinda nervous" right after they have taken him away.  But we knew that God would take care of him as He always does, and sweet little Hank did great!

When he was out of surgery, I am pretty sure the people across the street knew!  We were so happy to hear his little screams though :)  We did laugh because they came in our room and asked if he had a sippy cup...they said he didn't want the bottle...we could only imagine how polite he was in letting them know that!  He came back to us with the IV in and we had to wait until the bag ran out before we could go home.  He was fussy at first and not real thrilled that he couldn't suck on his thumb because there was something on it...but the Demerol quickly kicked in and he was out!

Such a sweet little face...

So thankful that everything went well!

Easter Sunday

Like I said before, Drew had to work on Easter weekend, so we missed him so much on Easter Sunday.  We went to our church with my family and then back to Peg-P and Gran's house to eat lunch and play.  We had a great time together!  Jackson was asleep when we got there, but here are the other three...

Chase and Hank in their little knee socks :)

Chase and Hank with Peg-P and Gran...

I love this one of Chase and Gran :)

And this one of Hank and Peg-P is so sweet too!

Jackson woke up and we were able to get pics of all four boys...we no longer have the expectation that we will get all of them to look at the camera at the same time- if everyone is at least smiling (or looking pleasant), then we are doing great!

Peg-P and Gran with the boys...

Chase hugging Gran...

Peg-P and Gran gave the boys beach towels for Easter and they were so excited!  Alex and Chase got Spiderman beach towels and Hank and Jackson got lobster beach towels.  They had a great time playing on them!

And pretending to be superheros with them...

We then had an outfit change :)  Peg-P got these precious Easter outfits for all the boys, so we wanted to get some pictures...

Peg-P feeding Hank cake...there is a picture of me doing the exact same thing with Mom when I was about Hank's age- we love sweets! :)

We had an Easter egg hunt inside since it was so yucky outside, but Chase and Alex still had a great time!  Here is Chase with his eggs.  I would have taken some pictures during the hunt, but I was too busy telling Chase to run and get an egg when he saw it!  Alex still beat Chase pretty good, but at least Chase got some eggs :)

The boys were out as soon as I put them in my car to go home.  So, I let them nap until Daddy got home.  We then woke them up because the Easter bunny had come!  This is sweet little Chase...he was so tired!

Chase and his Easter basket...

Hank and his Easter basket...

We had a great Easter and we were so glad that Daddy was there at the end of the day with us!  We have so much to be thankful for!
