Chase's One-Year Pictures

Jennifer Hagler did Chase's one-year pictures on Easter Weekend and she sent them to us today. She did such a great job and we were so excited! She did Chase's newborn pictures too, and I would strongly recommend her to anyone. If you want to see some of his one-year pictures, the link to the slideshow is:

If this doesn't work, you can also go to her website jenniferhaglerphotography.com and look under "slideshows" to see them. Enjoy!

Chase reunites with the baby pool!!

This weekend Chase reunited with his baby pool, and he had a blast. He did not want to get out when it was time to take a nap. The water was cold (too cold for Mama and Daddy) but not too cold for him to play in it for about an hour. I'm sure he'll have many more days to play, but I think we're going to have to hide the pool when not in use to keep him from breaking down when he can't play in it.

Splash...splash...splash!

Blowing bubbles (Chase learned this one on his own)

This is so much fun!

I don't want to wear this hat!

Ruby likes hanging out in the shade.

Taking a break to pose for the camera...

Please can I stay in the pool?

Trip to the zoo!!

Chase went to the zoo again on Saturday afternoon. He was awake this time. It was pretty hot outside, so all we did was ride the train and the carousel. Chase had a big time.

Big Announcement!!!

Chase is going to be a big brother!!! Katie is pregnant, and her due date is November 29. That's right, we'll have 2 kids under 2 and hope that we are up to the challenge. I'm sure Chase will be a great big brother and we think having someone at home to teach him to "share" will be a good thing. Please pray that all goes well according to God's will for Katie and "baby #2"!

Happy Birthday Mama!!!!

Katie celebrated her 30th birthday. Chase loved singing happy birthday...or maybe he was excited about the cake. We enjoyed dinner at Silvertron, saw Peg-Pee in the hospital and ate cookie cake when we got home. I still owe Katie one more birthday present...hopefully, I'll get it to her soon.

Katie's Birthday & Mother's Day at the Cochran's

We celebrated Mother's Day and Katie's birthday at the Cochran's. It was good seeing everyone and Chase had a blast playing and of course, being the center of attention.

Lawson's Birthday Party

Chase enjoyed going to Lawson Cearlock's birthday party at the park. He ate good food and played with some friends. Alex got to go too. It was a very nice party and we all had a great time.

Nashville half-marathon

This is the first post that doesn't have Chase in it, but I just had to put it in here. Last weekend, Drew and I went with some friends to run the Nashville half-marathon. Chase and Ruby stayed with our parents and I know they had a great time!!! We have been training for this run since the week after Christmas and we have really had a great time training together. We had a great time running and had so much fun with our friends in Nashville! We were so excited to make it through the run and we look forward to doing more! These pictures were taken in the hotel room before the race...

After the race....we did it! (actually...God did it!)

Ruby was so excited to have her Daddy back home on Sunday night (Chase had already gone to bed)...

Weathering the Storm

We all went to Mom and Dad's house for the storm because they have a basement...we were very thankful that it didn't get too bad there and we didn't have to use it. Here, Chase and Alex are playing together, and below Alex is helping Chase walk..it was so cute!

Happy Easter!

This was Chase's first Easter and it was great! I love Easter...it is one of my favorite days of the year. I love all of the memories that I have of dying eggs and hunting them at my Grandmother's house with my family and I love making our own memories now. Most importantly, I love the message and the hope that comes from Jesus rising again and the joy that comes with Easter. This is Ruby getting her Easter basket on Easter morning...

Chase's Easter basket...he was so excited that the Easter bunny came to see him (especially after he had gotten so many birthday presents the day before!

We went to our church with my family (and Wes) and then went back to Mom and Dad's house to take pictures. We had a great time with this and Chase sure was a trooper!

This picture was taken in front of the roses that were at my Memaw's house..this is so special because we used to spend every Easter at her house...I am glad that her beautiful roses bloom every Spring to help bring back those memories..

After taking pictures at my parents, we went to Drew's parents to eat Easter lunch. We had a great time there as well! After eating, we went to Drew's Nana's house to visit her...we took our Easter pictures at her house...

Chase was so excited to see Nana!

After visiting at Nana's, we went back to my parents' house to eat dinner. Before dinner, we dyed eggs with Alex (Chase was getting a nap in) and then Chase and Alex had an Easter egg hunt in the backyard! They had so much fun and Alex was very sweet to share his eggs with Chase!

It was a great day and we had so much fun spending time with our families!
