Chase and Ruby...

Chase loves playing with Ruby and pulling up on everything so he can see better! The other night, I was in the kitchen making cookies and this was my view....Ruby is already teaching him how to beg!

We had to include a picture of Chase waving....that is what he does all the time now. He waves at everyone and everything- it is so cute! He has been just doing his arm straight up in the air, but last night he started flopping his hand up and down too.

The Month of January...Uncle Frank, this one's for you! :)

Wow! The year 2011 has already been pretty eventful in our family, but we are thankful that we have gotten to spend a lot of good time together at home. In the month of January, Chase has had 2 ear infections, had tubes put in his ears, had pink-eye, and now has an upper respiratory infection....we are thankful that this is the extent of his sickness, but I have to mention all of these things to point out that he has still kept that sweet smile through it all! He is such a sweet baby, and we feel more and more blessed everyday! He has also started babbling more, which the SLP mom is so happy to hear:), pulling up, and trying to crawl (he crawls a little bit and then resorts to scooting on his stomach because it is much faster!) He loves playing with his toys and can entertain himself pretty well....but if Ruby is available to play keep-away, that activity always wins! Ruby would probably disagree though. He also moved up to the next class at school and has been really happy. We were kinda worried thinking about him leaving his teachers in the newborn class (Drew was worried about him not having any teeth to defend himself in the older class)..but he has done so well, and he has 6 new teeth! I think he really likes to be around the kids that are a little older, and his teachers in his new class are wonderful just like they were in the newborn class! He loves eating Cheerios and drinking water out of his sippy cup- all in all, he is just becoming a big boy!

Drew's parents gave him this backpack for Christmas....we can't wait to take Chase hiking again!

No matter what position he is in when the camera flashes, Chase will find a way to make sure he is smiling for the camera!

Chase and Alex playing with Alex's trains...Alex is so sweet about sharing with Chase....

We did Christmas with my Dad's side of the family the Sunday night before we went back to work. We had a great time at Mom and Dad's with everyone! My Aunt Kay, Uncle Billy, and cousins Lauren and William came from Gulf Shores. And, my cousin Jenn, her husband Karl and their two kids, Jack and Annie Elizabeth, came from Montgomery. This is Chase playing with Jack...

My Aunt Kay and Lauren with Chase...(it is so weird because it feels like just yesterday Lauren was Chase's size!)

My Dad and his sister (my Aunt Kay) with their grandkids...

Alex always finds a way to make us laugh (even with his serious face!)...Chase later got in the bag to be just like Alex...
Alex and Jack...

Chase had fun playing with Rogers Howell when it snow/iced! We loving living so close to Scott and Katie and I know Rogers and Chase will have so much fun playing together as they get older!

WAR EAGLE!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Chase and Drew outside (in the snow, but you cannot see it) before we won the National Championship!!!! Chase got to watch the kickoff and then it was off to bed. Chase had to wear his lucky outfit one more time (I'm trying to figure out how we can fit him into it next year!) I love their matching hats!

Even Ruby was "All in"!

This was the one time that Chase has been able to go to church in the month of January....hopefully we will do better in February.

Chase in his new Carhartt overalls that he got for Christmas...we love them and he does too!

Mom got this playset for Alex before his birthday party last year, and Hunter fixed it up and passed it on to us. It will be so much fun this summer and Chase is already enjoying it!
This is from Sarah's surprise 30th birthday party...Chase was just partied out!

Chase's 9 month pictures with his bear in the chair (it is hard to believe that he is as big as that bear now!) He turned 9 months old on January 19, but we weren't able to take him for his 9 month checkup until January 31. (because we wanted to wait until after he got his tubes). At his checkup, he weighed 20 pounds 14 ounces and he was 29 inches long. The doctor said he is very healthy and right on track....we are so thankful!

This is from Wes's surprise 30th birthday party!

Celebrating Wes's birthday at the Cochran's house the next day...Chase loves Uncle Wes!

I took these when Chase was at home sick on February 1....he had been sick with a fever for 4 days but still had that sweet smile!

He is always on the go now...

He loves his best friend....(now that Chase is eating Cheerios, I think we are pretty certain that he is Ruby's best friend too)

He is always headed for Ruby's bed or her water bowl...
