Trip to the Lake

Some of our good friends were so nice to let my family go stay in their lake house this past weekend and we had the best time! It has been so long since my family has gone on a trip together, and it was such a treat. Here is Gran, Drew, Hunter, Alex, and Chase getting Dad's boat ready to take out. That boat was my grandad's (Dad's Dad) boat, but it still ran great! We used to go on family fishing trips in it, so it is great to get to go out in it whenever we get a chance.

Drew and Chase swimming in the water...the water was a little cold but the weather was great and the lake was beautiful!

Alex swimming...he didn't mind the cold water!

Chase and Alex lounging together...

Chase and Alex held hands wherever they went throughout the weekend. Alex was so sweet to Chase and Chase loved going wherever Alex took him!

Drew and Chase getting ready for Chase's first boat ride!

He had so much fun on the boat! Here he is saying "Cheese!" That is his new favorite thing to do when someone takes his picture!

I had to take these pictures because Chase looked so cute in his life jacket (actually, Alex's life jacket that he let us borrow:)

Chase loved playing on the deck at the lake house and he wanted to stay outside all day!

Gran, Hunter, and Drew cooking fish...

Alex and Chase had such a great time playing in the dirt! They look like such big boys here!

We had a great trip and it was so much fun for everyone to be together!

Chase's big boy bed

We have Chase's big boy bed set up but we are still in the process of finishing his room. We hope he can try sleeping in it around mid-October. But for now, he loves it! He loves to have story time at night (or in the afternoon) in his big boy bed! He has gotten really good at getting off of it, which may not be a good thing!

I love this picture because they really do look exactly alike!

Chase is reading "Pat the Bunny." That has been one of his favorite books for a while. He loves to do the things on each page!

Welcome Baby George!

Our nephew, George Elliott Cochran, was born on September 19 and we were so excited to meet him! He is so precious and we are so thankful that he is here and healthy! Chase already loves him so much and I know that they will have so much fun in the years to come! Here is Mama Zo and Pops with their two grandsons, George and Chase...

Happy Birthday Alex!

We celebrated Alex's 3rd birthday on September 7, and his party was the following weekend. It seems like he was just born yesterday...I cannot believe he is already 3! Alex LOVES Thomas the Train, so that is the kind of party he had. Alex seemed to really enjoy his birthday party and Chase had such a great time playing with all of the big kids on the playground! He has really started to love going down the slide and climbing on things....it is crazy how quick he is growing up!

Chase with Peg-P...it is so sweet to hear him say her name, and all of his grandparents names!

Chase sitting with Gran...he loves his Gran so much (and his Peg-P too of course!)

There is the birthday boy!

Thomas the Train cupcakes...Chase was very excited about the cupcakes!

Chase is checking out Alex's cupcake...

Chase loved sitting with all of the big kids...

He finally got into his cupcake!

September is here!

September finally got here and we were so excited for Auburn football to start! Chase also moved up to the next class at school after Labor Day and he loves it! We are so thankful for Chase's school and for all of the people there...we couldn't ask for more! One Saturday morning this month Chase was talking about his friends at school...I told him we weren't going to see them that day (knowing he would be so excited about spending the day with Mommy and Daddy) and he burst into tears! He loves his school and he loves his new big boy class! He now takes a 2 hour nap everyday on his napmat on a cot...Drew and I cannot believe it! And, he gets to play on the playground two times a day which he loves! Here is Chase and Drew watching the first Auburn game in the recliner....

Here he is by himself...glued to the TV (I would love to say that he is that interested in the Auburn game, but I think he was watching Big Bird by now!)

Chase loves to get in the bed with Daddy on Saturday mornings!

Chase and Daddy eating cookies....yes, he is eating a cookie in the morning, but it was the weekend!

Alex came over to visit us, and Chase and Alex cuddled up with Drew to watch some TV...we don't always watch TV, but I guess these are the times that I took all the pictures :)

We started putting together Chase's big boy room and he loves it! I joked with Drew that he is going to think every room in the house is his..since we currently call two rooms in the house "Chase's room." We are hoping to move Chase into his big boy room in October so that the nursery will be ready for baby Hank when he arrives in November! Chase loves his big boy bed! The other night, we found him in his big boy room, in the dark, patting the bed and saying "bed" when it was story time. So, we had story time in his big boy bed and he loved that! (maybe that is a good sign)
