Bathtime with Alex

The other night, Hunter and Anna each had something to do and Drew was working the night shift....so I got to keep all three boys by myself for a little while!  We had the best time!  Chase woke up that morning talking about how Alex was coming over to eat supper and take a bath!   All three of them had so much fun together and we cannot wait until Alex's new little brother arrives to join in the fun!  Hank was so excited to take a bath with Chase AND Alex for the first time!

Don and Diane came to visit

My Dad's cousin, Don, and his wife, Diane, came to visit this summer.  They live in Auburn, so we don't get to see them very much.  We were so glad that we got to see them!  Alex, Chase, and Hank had a great time visiting!
Chase and Alex would sneak off into Peg-P and Gran's room...they have the best time playing together!

Our little conductors!

Mama Zo and Pops went on their annual anniversary trip to Gatlinburg and they brought back conductor hats for the boys...they loved them!  Here is Hank with Pops in his hat....

Chase has loved his hat too!  It is currently in his bed because he has wanted to sleep with it :)  And, when Peg-P and Gran came over the other night, we asked him to sing "I've been working on the railroad" for them, and he said "wait, my go put on my hat first!"  Chase loves "I've been working on the railroad"...Pops sang it to Daddy and now Daddy sings it to Chase.  If I try to sing it, Chase says "No, Pops and Daddy sing that!"

Hank with Pops and Mama Zo...we didn't have any of him by himself with them :)

Hank and Chase having fun with Daddy!

I think Drew might be the only one paying attention to story time :)

Chase in the bathtub...he always wants me to take his picture... :)

Chase's bowl and fun at home

One rainy day this summer, I took Chase and Hank to Do-It-Yourself Crafts in Homewood.  I had already taken Hank to Painted By U to do his handprints back in the Spring and he HATED it!  So, I decided Hank could just watch this time and Chase could paint :)  Hank was much happier!  Chase got to pick out whatever he wanted...he said he wanted a bowl to "eat my fruit loops in".  Then, when the lady asked him what colors he wanted to use, he said "Auburn colors."  So, she got him some orange and blue paint and he went to town!  He had the best time!  The whole time, he kept saying "My eat my Fruit Loops in this!"  He painted all over that bowl....and it turned out so cute!  The ladies there put his name and age on it for us.  I had to attend to both boys at the paint place, so I couldn't really take pictures....so I took some of the artist and the finished project :)

He loves  his bowl....and he does eat his Fruit Loops out of it!

More pictures of our sweet boys...

Here are Chase and "Big Monkey" riding in their "boat."  Chase is very into pretend play these days :)  He loves his big monkey too!

After Big Monkey rode in the boat, Chase wanted Hank to take a ride too!

Visiting Nana

Chase, Hank, and I were finally able to go see Nana the week before I went back to work.  They love Nana and we had a great time visiting with her!  Chase wanted to play her piano as soon as he got there!  We are so thankful for Nana and it is such a blessing that Chase and Hank get to know her!

Build a Bear

My Mom has been wanting to take Chase to Build-a-Bear all summer, so we finally got to do it the week before I went back to work.  Peg-P and Gran went and got Chase his monkey....he had the best time!  First, he got to pick out what kind of animal he wanted....he immediately picked the monkey, of course!

Here, he is asking Peg-P if he can take the tag off :)

Then he got to pick out the monkey sound to put inside of his monkey...

Then he got to pick out a heart to put inside of his monkey...

Hank watched in amazement...thinking about how bad he wants to build-a-bear one day!

Then, Chase had to rub the heart so it would always stay warm...

Rub the heart on his brain, so his monkey would be smart like him...

Rub the heart on his foot so the monkey could jump like him...(and that monkey jumps every night as Chase sings and acts out "Five Little Monkey's Jumping on the Bed" with all five of his monkeys!)

And then give the heart a kiss...

Then he put the heart in his monkey...

Then he got to stand on the peddle to make the stuffing go inside of his monkey...

Then, he gave his monkey a big hug!  (or as Chase says, "A big ole hug!")

Then he got to pick out monkey's outfit.  There are a ton of outfits to choose from, and Chase immediately picked the doctor outfit.  Peg-P and I then showed him that there was a Spiderman, Woody, and Buzz too just in case he hadn't seen those.  He sat there and thought about which one he wanted.  Then, he looked at Mom, Dad, and me and said, "Which one does monkey want?"  He is the sweetest child and he just melts my heart everyday!  He decided on the doctor outfit "just like Daddy"...we were really glad he chose that one!

Then, he went to the computer to make a birth certificate for his monkey.  He named his monkey "Dr. Monkey"

Chase with Peg-p, Gran, and Dr. Monkey...he was soooo excited about his Dr. Monkey!

After that, Chase, Hank, and I got to ride on the train...they both loved that!  We were not able to get a picture, but for most of the ride, Hank stood and watched off of the back of the train...it was so cute!

Then, we went and ate Chick-fil-a in the food court and Hank hung out with Peg-P and Gran while Chase and I rode the carousel...he had a great time with them!

Chase had a great time on the carousel!  He said he wanted to ride the white "neigh neigh".  There was a brown horse next to his, and he said "Hankie ride the brown neigh neigh when he gets bigger."  They have so much fun together!   Chase also pointed up while he was riding and said, "Mommy, my ride umbrella!"  I looked up and realized that the top of the carousel looks like a big umbrella...the things he comes up with crack me up!

That afternoon we went to Costco and Hank got to ride in the buggy with Chase for the first time at Costco (see how happy he is!)  Also, Dr. Monkey went everywhere with us for a couple of weeks after that day.  He still rides with us to school sometimes in the mornings :)  One funny story about Dr. Monkey...Chase and I were talking about ambulances one night and he told me that they take people to the doctor.  I said "Who do we know that is a doctor?"  Chase very seriously said "Daddy and Dr. Monkey."  (maybe Daddy could learn a few things from Dr. Monkey :))
