Big News!

Chase will be having a little brother. We are so thankful that everything seemed good at the doctor's visit. And we can't wait until the end of November gets here, and we hope he does not bite :)...

...but we really hope that Chase is over his biting phase :)

Happy Father's Day, Daddy!

I had to do Drew his own post to honor him for Father's Day! We are so so thankful to have such an amazing husband and Daddy and we love him more and more everyday! God has blessed me far beyond what I could ever imagine with Drew, and Chase is such a lucky little boy to have such a wonderful Dad! Drew and I are also so thankful for both of our Dads and for the examples that they have set. If you are around Chase for even a small amount of time, you will immediately see that his "Dada" is by far his favorite person in the world! Chase says "Dada" all day long and it melts my heart every time! Ruby loves him too, of course...she is always so excited to see him and always wants his attention! It is hard to believe that we will have another addition next Father's Day, and I know that baby will love Drew just as much as Chase does! Thank you, Drew, for all that you do for us! We love you soooo much!

Father's Day with the Stanley Family

We had my family over to our house on Father's Day to play outside and eat dinner. We had a great time! Drew set up our slide so that Chase and Alex could slide into the baby pool, and they loved it! They had so much fun playing together!
Here is Chase sliding....

Chase and Alex playing together in the pool...

Blowing bubbles in the water with Drew (I love it because he has always been just like one of the kids!)

Chase with Peg-P at the table...holding Gran's hand...

Chase giving Peg-P a hug....(he has gotten very good at giving hugs :)

One of Alex's favorite things to do was drink the pool water...

Chase's favorite thing to do was eat crackers with Peg-P and Gran...

Alex loved sliding....

Chase right where he loves to be...right in the middle of everything!

Chase with Uncle Hunter...

Chase and Alex moved on to the sandbox from the baby pool...we had some sandy wet boys when the afternoon was over!

Alex giving Chase a hug...they are so sweet together! Chase has started saying "Alex"...he loves him so much!

Uncle Hunter put balls in the back of Chase's swimsuit...

Chase thought his big boodie was so funny! :) (I must say, it was hilarious watching him walk around like that!)

Chase and Gran....Happy Father's Day Gran! Chase loves his Gran so much...anytime he is around, Chase is reaching for him! We are so thankful for my Dad too...we are all so blessed to have him!
Chase and Peg-P...

Anna brought a caramel cake (Gran's favorite)....I am pretty sure it ranks high on Chase's list too!

After everyone left, Chase looked at us and said "night night"...he was so tired after his fun day!

Father's Day with the Cochran Family

We had a great Father's Day weekend spending time with family! On Saturday, we went to Drew's Granny and Grandaddy's house to celebrate Father's Day and to get to see Drew's cousins who are moving to Alaska. We had a great time getting to see them and Chase was so happy to get to meet them (we didn't get to see them this past Christmas). We were sad because we aren't sure when we will get to see them again, but excited for them about their move!

This is Drew's cousin, Chelsea, with Chase...

Happy Father's Day Pops! We are so thankful for Drew's Dad and Chase loves him so much!

Chase with Uncle Wes and Aunt Julie...

After we left Granny and Grandaddy's house, we went back to Drew's parents house to have our annual March Madness award ceremony. Every year, the Cochran family does The Cochran Family Bracket Challenge for March Madness and we always love the award ceremony! Things have been really busy this year, so we were not able to have the awards ceremony until this weekend. This is Chase receiving his prizes...this was Chase's first year to participate in the Cochran family bracket challenge and he came in 8th place out of 8. Pops is so nice to recognize everyone with prizes though!

Chase playing with Uncle Clay...

After the prize ceremony, we played outside for a little bit and Chase got grass all over him. So...his Mama Zo gave him a quick bath in the sink- he thought that was so much fun!

Every time Mama Zo turned the water off, he turned it back on...he loves the water!

Playing around

Chase loves playing with Drew's shoes..I just had to get a picture of him crawling with his hands in them!

Here Chase is using his booster seat as a walker...he is walking better on his own these days, but he still never passes up a chance to use something to help him out! He also still has the headlight around his neck...the power had been out since the night before and had just come back on, so he was making sure we had a flashlight handy just in case!

Enjoying summer, visiting Nana, and hugging Ruby!

Chase eating breakfast (with Ruby of course!) Chase has started putting both feet on the tray of his highchair at times when he eats...that is what he was doing right before I took this picture, but he took his feet down when he saw me get the camera out. I still thought this pictures was cute of him and Ruby....she is always right there when he is eating and he loves feeding her!

Chase and I went to visit Drew's Nana last week, and as always, we had a great time! I couldn't ever get Chase to smile for the camera, but he really did love getting to see Nana! (and I did too!)

The other day, I told Drew that I think we have one of those kids that is "into everything". Drew promptly agreed! No matter what I am doing, Chase is helping me...it makes chores around the house even more fun and I am loving every minute of it! Here he is with my hairdryer around his neck (he must have thought that I needed it:)

Chase has really started giving everyone "hugs" a lot lately, and Ruby is definitely one of his favorites! She is so so sweet to him...we couldn't ask for a better dog!

Ruby and Daddy....I have to put her very own pictures in every now and then:)
