Happy Birthday Hank!!!

Henry Louis Cochran, "HANK," was born November 16 at 10:25 in the morning. He weighed 6 lb 6 oz and was 20 inches long.

Post from Drew: Katie was scheduled to be induced on November 22, but on Tuesday, November 15 she had been sick, feeling like she had the flu. We went in to see the doctor, and everything seemed to be fine except that Hank's heart beat was a little fast. He decided to monitor her for a while, and we were all surprised that she was having contractions about every 3-4 minutes. He decided to give her some IV fluids and monitor for a few more hours to see if the contractions would stop. That afternoon, we were in a hurry to get to the doctor's office and picked Chase up from daycare. I believe this was the only appointment Chase went to. After sitting in small exam rooms for about 3.5 hours, it was time for Chase to go home. I took him home, and Katie's parents kept him and Ruby. I packed a few things, just in case we had to stay the night. After about 4 hours, Katie was still having contractions, although they had slowed some. We moved from the triage room to a real labor/delivery room for the night. I went home about midnight to get a few more things in case he actually came. In the morning her doctor fully intended to send us home, but he checked her and she was dilated more to 3 cm. We decided to go ahead and meet Hank a few days earlier than expected, and a few hours later he was born.

Chase was very excited to meet his "baby." Chase got to meet Hank before the rest of our families and it was a special time for us all to get to be together.

Happy Halloween!

We had a great Halloween and it was so much fun for Chase to get to trick-or-treat for the first time! His Halloween fun started with his party at school. The director at his school was so sweet to email me this picture of Chase at his party...I had to include it because his sweet little face just makes me laugh! The director said that he was the last one at the table...food usually wins over any activity with Chase- especially junk food! We are so thankful for Chase's school and his teachers. He is so happy and he loves going everyday! He doesn't even say bye to Drew or me when we drop him off and he is sad to leave at the end of the day. His teachers constantly love on him, and everyone there truly is a blessing. The other day one of his teachers told me that his cheeks were probably broken out because she kisses them all day :)

Chase and Ruby ready for Halloween! Chase loved being a cowboy! We went over to Hunter and Anna's new neighborhood to trick-or-treat and had a great time!

Hunter and Anna's neighborhood had a pizza dinner before trick-or-treating started and Chase had a great time with Alex!

He loves going wherever Alex leads him!

After the party, Chase and Alex rode back to Hunter and Anna's house in the wagon...

Drew and Chase while we were trick-or-treating...(Drew was just like one of the kids!)

Chase loved trick-or-treating with Collier too! (he is the one in the doctor costume) Chase fell down in just about every yard because he was trying so hard to run as fast as Collier..he loved it though! He also wanted to eat each piece of candy as it was given to him!

Chase had a great night and he certainly seems to be a fan of Halloween! The next morning, he went into the kitchen asking for candy ("tandy") for breakfast!

Our fun-filled weekend!

We had a great Halloween weekend and packed as much as we could in (and made sure Chase wore his costume as much as possible!) It started Friday night with the Fall Festival at our church. We have never been able to go so we were really excited about taking Chase this year! Chase was a cowboy for Halloween and he was the cutest little cowboy that I have ever seen! He has loved cowboys ever since my parents brought him this hat back from Texas, so we felt that it was fitting. These are a few pictures of him in his costume at home before we left for the Fall Festival...

As soon as we parked the car at the Fall Festival, Chase saw other kids in their costumes, and he was off! He was so excited and he did not care if we were behind him or not. Here he is when we first got there...he looked so much like Drew looking around and taking everything in (he always looks like Drew, but there are some times more than others)...

We were excited that Peg-P and Gran got to go to the Fall Festival with us...this is when we first got there and Chase was still taking in all the sites :)...

Chase walking with Daddy and Gran...

There was a bluegrass band there and Chase loved it! He stood and listened to the music for a while...

Chase throwing the footballs...he was a little too small for this activity, but they let him get really close...

We were excited that our friends also got to come to the Fall Festival....here is Chase with Collier...

Chase with Caroline and Clayton...

Chase and Daddy rode the carousel before we left...Chase wanted to sit on Daddy's lap while Daddy sat on the horse...

Saturday evening, we had Drew's family over to our house to celebrate his birthday. Chase and George got dressed up in their Halloween costumes and they looked so cute! We had a great time with Drew's family. George was such a cute pea in a pod!

Drew's birthday cake...it was delicious!

Happy Birthday Daddy! Chase helped him blow out his candles...

On Sunday afternoon, we had my family over to celebrate my Mom's birthday. We had a great time with them, too and we are so thankful for Peg-P! Here Chase and Alex are wrestling with Uncle Hunter...Chase was having a great time!

Happy Birthday Peg-P! She had great helpers blowing out her candles!

On Sunday night, we got to go to Boo at the Zoo with our friends, and we had a great time there too! Chase had a great time!

Chase and Daddy had fun riding the carousel backwards...

It got pretty cold as the night went on, but it was fun to see the zoo at night! We got to ride on a hayride, and Chase loved that! Here we are waiting in line for the train...

Here we are on the train....the flash startled Chase a bit!

Chase passed out on the train and didn't wake up until the next morning...Chase has left the zoo many times asleep...

We had a great weekend with family, friends, and each other!

Happy Birthday Pops and The Pumpkin Patch!

A few weeks ago, we went to Drew's parents' house to celebrate his Dad's birthday and then we went to the pumpkin patch. We had a great time and we are so thankful for Pops! (unfortunately I did not get a picture of Chase with Pops that day). Here is Chase with Uncle Wes (Chase now calls him "Wa")...

Chase playing with Uncle Clay...

This is baby George with Drew's Granny and Grandaddy...he is so sweet and Chase still loves him so much!

Chase with Granny and Grandaddy...

Chase made his way to the rocking chair on the porch while everyone else stayed inside...

Chase playing with Mama Zo on her new ipad...

This is from the pumpkin patch...we had a great time! We were sad because Mama Zo and Pops were supposed to come, but they had to unexpectedly leave as soon as we got there. We hated that they didn't get to stay for everything, but Chase seemed to have a great time!
Chase and Daddy doing the mini maze...

A tractor took us on a hayride to the pumpkins..Chase loved the tractor! Here he is with Daddy trying to pick out his pumpkin...

He went through several different pumpkins trying to find the perfect one...

While we were looking at the pumpkins, our tractor left us to go pick up another group. There was a different tractor coming to pick us up, but Chase was very disappointed that our tractor left us. This was the expression on his face until we got on the new tractor that came to pick us up...

Chase and Daddy on the tractor that took us back...with Chase's pumpkin that he picked out (notice we were the first ones on the tractor, because Chase did not want to get left again :)

Still a little worried about the tractor situation...

The boy who was driving the tractor was really nice to let Chase sit on the tractor when we got back...

We had a great day!
