Beach Trip!

We have so much fun on our little family beach trip every year, and this year was no different!  We just had the best time being together!  In June, during Drew's week off, we stayed in a house in Santa Rosa Beach, and it was great!  Here are the boys the morning that we left....we were on the road by 7:00 am and everyone was ready to go!

We didn't take as many pictures as we have in the past, but we still had a great time!  I think this was our first night there...we went and ate dinner and then went to play on the beach some before getting ice cream.  Hank was not real happy to be at the restaurant, and he made sure that everyone there knew :)  So, he was happy when he got to run around on the beach!

Chase always LOVES the sand!

Hank and Daddy walking out to the ocean...

Hank and Daddy with Wes...we were so glad that Wes got to come with us again this year :)

Drew with the boys...

This is sad to say, but I think this is the best family picture that we took all summer :)

Hank likes the ocean the best and Chase likes the sand...

They had fun letting their feet sink...

Hank and Mommy...

Wes and Drew... (sometimes its nice to take pictures of just grown-ups...you don't have to do a song and dance to make them smile...usually :))

Our house was nice but several blocks from the beach, so getting to the beach was a bit of a challenge. Once there, the boys had fun as long as we didn't run out of "gummies."

Chase watching the "Junior Baywatch" camp that was going on close by

Daddy and Hank playing in the sand...Hank always had to be moving...or eating gummies

Chase eating gummies under the umbrella

Everybody in the water...Chase never wanted to get in but had fun once he did (as long as he wasn't too far out in the "fog" - that's how he described the horizon)

Chase doing the hot dog dance with Mickey Mouse. One night Chase was in a bad mood. He said, "I'm sad, but watching Mickey will make me happy." And, it did.

Hank eating lunch, which always makes him happy

This was our last night at the beach, so we took one more shot at family pics...but we weren't real successful..we sure had fun though!  Wes left earlier that day, so he wasn't in any of these...

Our sweet babies :)

Hank and Mommy again...Chase was having too much fun to stop and smile for the camera!

but we still tried....

Sweet little Hank....

And our sweet Chase...

We got ice cream every night at the beach, so naturally, we had to finish up that way!  The boys loved it every time!

I am so thankful for these times that we get to spend as a family!

Fun Times with our little Family :)

More fun times from this summer!  Dress-up is still occurring daily, but I just can't help but take pictures every time!  Chase's tiger costume is one of three of his favorite costumes, but Superman is Hank's go-to outfit every time!

Chase is being a tiger :)

Our family consumed A LOT of pop-ice this summer!  I am not sure if Hank or Drew was the winner...if Hank didn't win, he sure did do a good job hanging in there!

Another picture of our sweet Chase!

And I cannot forget Ruby :)...she is still such a good girl!

One night we had movie night at home and it was so fun!  We have done this a couple of times before, but this was Hank's first time to really get to enjoy it too.  Drew had to work 4 weekends in a row at the end of May and beginning of June, so this was his first weekend off.  We sat up the blow-up bed, and all played, snuggled, and watched a movie!

Chase still loves to get in Hank's crib with him in the mornings, and Hank loves it too!  They are going to be sharing a room pretty soon and I know they are going to love it!

They had fun riding Chase's Thomas the Train all summer too :)

...And one more makes 5! (or 6 if we count our sweet Ruby:)

Our family is growing!  I am sure if you are reading this blog, then you already know that since I am currently in my third trimester; however, I still wanted to record it :)  We found out this past April that we are having another baby and we couldn't be more excited!  I am due December 15 and we found out this past July that we are having another boy!  We are ecstatic about having three little boys!!!  Chase and Hank are sooo excited too!  They went to the ultrasound with us....Chase had already decided that we were having a boy, so he wasn't surprised...I don't really think any of us were surprised to be quite honest :)

We are going to name him "Andrew Zbinden Cochran" and call him "Zip".  "Andrew" is after Drew, of course, and "Zbinden" is after Drew's Nana and Papa.  Papa was George Zbinden, and many knew him as "Zip" or "Papa Zip".  Drew and I have always loved the thought of naming a child "Zip" after him, so we are really excited to be able to do that.  If our little Zip is even half the man that Papa was, he will be doing just fine!  It is also pretty fitting that he is due to be born at Christmas time and Nana and Papa were always known to dress up as Santa and Mrs. Claus at Christmas...how special!

I do have to mention Chase's reaction to the name.  For the longest time, he really wanted to name the baby Patrick...to the point that I ran into one of his friend's moms at school one day, and she said "So Chase tells me y'all are going to name the baby Patrick":)  Then, every night, when Drew would pray for "Zip", Chase would whisper "Patrick" under his breath.  He is so funny...and I need to point out that we have no ties to the name Patrick whatsoever :)  However, he has now accepted the name "Zip" and he is very excited that Zip will be here when Santa comes...I hope he is not disappointed if Zip gets here before Santa!  Hank is so excited too, and it is so sweet to hear his little voice say "Zip".   We cannot wait for this sweet baby to be here and we are so so thankful for him and love him so much already!

Happy Birthday Nana!

Drew's Nana turned 85 this past May, and her daughters threw her a birthday party.  It was so much fun for everyone to be together and to celebrate this amazing woman!  We all love Nana so much and are so so thankful for her.  The party was wonderful and there was a great turnout!
Here is Nana with several of her great grandchildren....

Here she is with grandchildren and great grandchildren...

Here she is with her daughters...

We were excited that Granny got to come to the party too!  We love Granny and are so thankful that the boys have two great grandmothers that they get to spend time with!  This picture was taken toward the end of the party, so it was the best we could do with George, Chase, and Hank :)

Nana's birthday party just so happened to be on my birthday!  So, that night we celebrated with dinner and my annual cookie cake (that is the only thing I ask Drew for each year :)  It turned out to be a great day!
