Hank playing with Gran
Chase went first to show his little brother how it is done. Chase is a pro at getting his hair cut. He is so funny because he acts so serious and has this stern look on his face. We were able to get some pictures of the few times he cracked a smile.
Next was Hank's turn. He needed a little help from Daddy.
All done and looking sharp...
...there's the camera
We always have fun reading before Chase goes to bed. He always wants Hank to lie next to him. Recently Hank has started acting interested in the story and will usually pay attention. Here we're reading "We're very good friends, my brother and I." Pops used to read this book to us, and Wes and I would spend hours acting out the story. Thanks for Mama Zo and Pops for finding an old copy for us!
On Saturday we went to Alex's soccer "game." Chase talked about it all morning and wanted to make sure he took, "my soccer ball." Chase and I played a lot on the side while Alex worked on his drills with his teammates. Chase had a blast and ran solid for about 30 minutes.

Here's Alex practicing "The Airplane," his post-goal celebration...actually he's running over for a water break! But he will have a good airplane once he gets to start scoring goals.

Chase was a hot and tired little boy when we went home
On Sunday we went to Marion for Willow Sage's dedication at church and for Tyne's baby shower. We got to see a lot of family and a great church service.
Hank and Chase are ready for church
Chase found some finger nail clippers...
...and obviously wants to cut Hank's toe nails
After church, we went to the "Barn" to eat lunch. Chase got to play with some puppies and then we went fishing while Hank and Mama went to Tyne's shower.
Chase was very excited to see the puppies
Chase figuring out the fishing pole and fishing line
all situated and ready to start
Chase "caught" several fish by reeling in any hooked fish. Sage helped him catch his first fish.
making sure he knows how to reel them in

Koley (our fishing guide) and Chase caught the biggest fish of the day
Chase really liked playing with the worm dirt. He would take a pinch of dirt and scoot down to the water on his bottom and throw it in the water (I think he thought he was feeding the fish). He would also take a pinch of dirt and place it on the handle of the pole, in attempts to bait his hook. Overall he had a blast.
We had a fun time, and Chase slept almost the whole way back home!
