Well, when I am out of school for the summer, I take a break from everything...including the internet! So, I am finally updating the blog again. We have had so much fun with Chase this summer..we have played and played and played some more. As thankful as I am to have a great job where I can spend so much time with Chase, I am definitely not ready to go back to work. I am sure I will have a harder time with it than Chase does, though, because he does love his friends at school. Here are a few pictures of some of Chase's favorite things to do this summer....
Hanging out with Ruby and Daddy on the couch, of course....
Getting the mail every afternoon with Daddy (Ruby usually goes too)...
Eating popsicles with Daddy (notice the common theme here...Daddy:)...
Bathtime with Daddy (they always have fun with this!)...
His Cam Newton jersey, of course (maybe it will be his good luck shirt this season, since he has definitely grown out of his good luck outfit from last year!....however we will definitely try to squeeze him into it if we need to :)
Wearing his Mardi Gras beads around the house....
Sitting on Ruby's bed with her...he usually follows me around the house all day, but if he is not right with me, this is where I will find him....(with her tennis ball in hand)
Cuddling with Ruby on her bed...
He learned how to do his cousin Alex's funny face, and he has really enjoyed this! However, he has recently come up with his own "funny face", and it is pretty hilarious! We will have to get a picture of it and put it on here.
I have several pictures on here of Chase in his cowboy hat because he LOVES his cowboy hat! He quickly learned the word "hat" and always asks to wear it...
The funniest thing his does lately is when we read to him. My parents brought him this cowboy hat as well as the book Drew is reading him ("Good Night Cowboy") back from Texas this past fall. In general, reading books is one of his most favorite things to do these days, but this book is one of his favorites. He asks us to read it to him several times a day and every time, he has to wear his cowboy hat while we read it to him. As soon as we read the first page, he turns to his hat and says "hat" over and over again until we get it. He is so proud for the rest of the story and puts his hands on his hat over and over again.
I don't have any pictures of him at the pool, but that is a weekly activity that he always loves!
Thanks for the update! I was just about to send out an e-mail because I hadn't seen anything in a very long time.
