Chase goes to the dentist!

Chase went to the dentist for the first time at the end of July and he loved it!!!  Our friends took their kids to this dentist and when they said he loved Jackson Hole and did his whole office with a cowboy/Jackson Hole theme, I knew we had to go...forget about his skills as a dentist, Chase LOVES everything cowboy and his parents love Jackson Hole!:)  Here are a couple of pictures of Chase in the waiting room riding one of the horses....

The dentist ended up being really great and Chase liked him a lot!  Chase let him clean his teeth, floss, and squirt the water in his mouth!  Chase still wants to floss every morning and every night when he brushes his teeth.  He had a great time and he was so good...I was so proud of him for sitting quietly and letting the dentist do whatever he needed to.  He is such a big boy!  Now, when I help him brush his teeth (with big boy Spiderman toothpaste), he says "Dentist do that, Mommy- Dr. Purvis do that".  I am sure he will be very excited to go back!

There were several days this summer when Chase said he wanted to get his doctor outfit on so he could be like Daddy.  Drew would bring home a hat and mask for him every now and then.  On this day, Chase met Daddy at the door with his doctor outfit on!  He LOVES his Daddy so much!  I forgot to mention earlier...when Drew started his residency, for a couple of weeks Chase would say each morning- "My ready to go night night so my see Daddy."  Drew would usually get home before bedtime, and if he was late, you can bet that Chase Cochran was waiting up for him (I think the latest he waited one night was about 10:45).  Drew is great when he gets home though...I know he is so tired, but he immediately drops everything and plays with his boys until they go to sleep :)

Drew got to bathe the boys most nights....This was Hank's first time to sit in the big boy bathtub with Chase and he LOVED it!  He still loves it so much....he gets so close to Chase and loves to splash!

Our little cowboy....he still LOVES "neigh neighs" and cowboys!  He is also a big fan of his rain boots!

Chase has really become a fan of band-aids this summer...he loves them and always wants to have a boo boo so he can have one!  He will tell us that he needs a band-aid and we will say "Where is your boo boo?"...he quickly starts looking on his hands and feet and says "hmmmmmm"...he eventually finds one :)  Here, he is pretending this sticker is a band-aid.

One of Chase and Hank's favorite morning activities is for Chase to climb in the crib with Hank!  Hank gets so excited and Chase loves it!

They really do love each other so much....Chase always has to know where "Hankie" is and kisses him and hugs him every chance he gets!  Everytime Hank sees Chase, his little arms and legs start going crazy...he gets so excited!  We are so blessed with our two perfect little boys!

We just had so much fun playing around this summer....Chase and Hank are at such fun ages and we just had the best time!  This is a basket Nana gave us that we love for keeping all of Chase and Hank's outdoor toys in, but Chase found other uses for it here :)  One thing I have to add....whenever Chase does funny things like this (which is quite often), he always waits very patiently with that sweet smile on his face for me to go get my camera...he loves getting his picture taken!

Hank is growing to love the camera as well!  Hank loves his booster seat and sitting with us each night for dinner...he has not quite learned that he needs to be patient and quiet during the blessing, so he usually sits and has Cheerios as his appetizer until I can get his baby food open.  He is hilarious, though, if he doesn't have his Cheerios you can bet that he will be screaming at us until we get that baby food in his mouth! 

Hank and Ruby...she is having to go through having her hair pulled all over again now that Hank is on the move!  Chase also still likes to ride her...she is the best dog though...she takes it all and still gives them kisses! 

Chase is really into making forts these days and he usually wants to do it all by himself!

Happy Birthday Gran!

My Dad's birthday is July 4, so we always have fun celebrating together every year!  This year, my parents left to go on an Alaskan cruise on July 4rth, so we had to celebrate early.  Hunter and Anna had everyone at their house and we had such a great time!  We hope you had a great birthday, Gran, and we love you soooo much!

Dr. Drew....it is official!

Drew started his residency on June 20....we were so sad to see our "vacation time" end, but so excited for him at the same time!  He is a surgery intern at Princeton and Trinity this year and then he will be doing his anesthesiology residency at UAB for the next three years.  Here he is in his new white coat!

We missed our Daddy being at home everyday, but we still did our best to make the most of the rest of the summer!  Hank learned to sit up all by himself, which opened up a whole new world for him :)

I didn't trust his sitting up skills in the baby pool at the time this was taken....but he and Chase still had fun!

Ruby LOVED playing everyday! (sometimes I think she is the saddest when I go back to work and the boys go back to school)

Summer Fun...

These are just some more pictures from the month of June, when we still had Drew at home with us.  We had such a great time together while he was off...I definitely feel like we made the most of it!  Here is Hank and Gran just hanging out....Hank likes to look very intently at Gran's face and study him....I think he may have fallen asleep in this position!
