Chase's class party!

On the way to the lake, we found out that some of the moms of the kids in Chase's class had planned a class party to say farewell to one of Chase's teachers.  I quickly offered the water slide that my mom bought at the beginning of the summer and they had such a great time!

I know I have mentioned this before, but I love watching Chase with all of his school friends.  He just has so much fun with them and he has really come out of his shell!  When we go places with his school friends, I rarely see him the whole time!

We had a great time with all of the parents...it is a really great group of people and Drew and I have really enjoyed getting to know all of them this past year.  We were so sad to see Chase's teacher, Mrs. Beth, go.  She and his other teacher, Mrs. Abby, have been absolutely amazing this past year and he loves them sooo much!

Hank loves Chase's friends too!

Chase got into the brownies!

We LOVE Anesthesiology!!!

Drew laughed when he saw that I was doing a post and this was the only picture, but this day was one of my favorites this past year...the day Drew started his Anesthesiology residency (and surgery was officially OVER!!!)  I feel for anyone who is married to a surgeon and I truly have the utmost respect for them.  He has been so happy doing anesthesiology and it is so great to know that he is finally getting to do what he will be doing forever...and he loves it!  It is so great to see him so happy and to see how far the Lord has brought us over the last 5 years.  And....not only does he love what he is doing each day, but the boys and I LOVE the schedule!  It is so great to have him at home with us more and I appreciate that time with him more than I ever have!

Lake Trip!

While we were at the beach, some sweet friends of ours' called and asked if my family wanted to go to their lake house for that weekend.  It worked out perfectly because we were already planning on coming home from the beach on Wednesday.  So, we came home, washed clothes, and left for the lake on Friday.  Mom and Dad rode with us, but we were so sad that Hunter and Anna already had plans..so their family couldn't come :(  We had such a great time, though, and we were so thankful for the opportunity to spend that time together with Mom and Dad.
Chase could not stop talking about the wave runner the whole way there and for a few months afterward!

Hank LOVED it too!!!  Every time Drew took one for a ride, he had to come back and get the other one!

Chase and Peg-P....he and Hank loved having their Peg-P and Gran there!

Chase and Gran...

Drew and Hank on the wave runner again :)

Drew and Hank driving the boat...Hank always likes to be where his Daddy is!  It always makes me laugh when people say, "Its so great to have boys because they love their Mamas"....Ha!  I do LOVE having my boys, but they choose their Daddy every time!  (I would too because he is way more fun:)

Hank and Gran on the boat...Hank was so happy!

Chase driving the boat with Daddy :)

Hank with Peg-P...so happy again!  Hank was not one to sit still on the boat :)

Chase loved looking at the water...he loved the lake all together!

Hank with that sweet smile :)

We had such a great time time together and made memories that we will all cherish.

Father's Day!

We went to the Cochran's the Saturday before Father's Day this year to celebrate Pops!  We had a great time with everyone and we are so thankful for Pops!

I have been seeing those faces for 15 years now...there is no question who their Daddy is!

Cute picture of George...

Drew with all three boys...

Wes with George and Chase...

All three boys with Pops :) They love their Pops so much and we are all so blessed to have him!

I love this picture of Chase leaning on Pops...

Pops and his three boys :)

The next day, Father's Day, we were supposed to get together with my family at Hunter and Anna's house to celebrate Gran, but unfortunately, Gran was in the hospital.  I hate that he had to spend his Father's Day there :(  But, we made the most of it and we took lunch to the hospital and all ate together with him in his room.  It was a busy place to be....6 adults and 4 children all crammed into one hospital room :)  We are so thankful for Gran too, and I am so blessed to have such a wonderful dad who has always been one of my closest friends, biggest supporters, and such an amazing role model!  I thought I took pictures that day, but cannot find them, so Anna sent me what she had :)  Dad is not in the picture, but Dad's three oldest grandsons are (too much craziness for sweet little Jackson to sit in the chair :)  All of Dad's grandsons love him so much and we are all so thankful for him!

Later that day, we still went to Hunter and Anna's and the boys played on the water slide that Peg-P bought at the beginning of the summer (that was the original plan).  The boys had such a great time playing together as always!  We missed Peg-P and Gran, but had a great time with Hunter, Anna, and the kids!

Beach Trip!

We have so much fun on our little family beach trip every year, and this year was no different!  We just had the best time being together!  In June, during Drew's week off, we stayed in a house in Santa Rosa Beach, and it was great!  Here are the boys the morning that we left....we were on the road by 7:00 am and everyone was ready to go!

We didn't take as many pictures as we have in the past, but we still had a great time!  I think this was our first night there...we went and ate dinner and then went to play on the beach some before getting ice cream.  Hank was not real happy to be at the restaurant, and he made sure that everyone there knew :)  So, he was happy when he got to run around on the beach!

Chase always LOVES the sand!

Hank and Daddy walking out to the ocean...

Hank and Daddy with Wes...we were so glad that Wes got to come with us again this year :)

Drew with the boys...

This is sad to say, but I think this is the best family picture that we took all summer :)

Hank likes the ocean the best and Chase likes the sand...

They had fun letting their feet sink...

Hank and Mommy...

Wes and Drew... (sometimes its nice to take pictures of just grown-ups...you don't have to do a song and dance to make them smile...usually :))

Our house was nice but several blocks from the beach, so getting to the beach was a bit of a challenge. Once there, the boys had fun as long as we didn't run out of "gummies."

Chase watching the "Junior Baywatch" camp that was going on close by

Daddy and Hank playing in the sand...Hank always had to be moving...or eating gummies

Chase eating gummies under the umbrella

Everybody in the water...Chase never wanted to get in but had fun once he did (as long as he wasn't too far out in the "fog" - that's how he described the horizon)

Chase doing the hot dog dance with Mickey Mouse. One night Chase was in a bad mood. He said, "I'm sad, but watching Mickey will make me happy." And, it did.

Hank eating lunch, which always makes him happy

This was our last night at the beach, so we took one more shot at family pics...but we weren't real successful..we sure had fun though!  Wes left earlier that day, so he wasn't in any of these...

Daddy and the boys...

Our sweet babies :)

Hank and Mommy again...Chase was having too much fun to stop and smile for the camera!

but we still tried....

Sweet little Hank....

And our sweet Chase...

We got ice cream every night at the beach, so naturally, we had to finish up that way!  The boys loved it every time!

I am so thankful for these times that we get to spend as a family!
