Halloween and Birthdays

We went and trick-or-treated with Alex and Jackson and had a great time!  Alex was Luke Skywalker and Jackson was Yoda :)

Drew's birthday is November 1 and Anna's is November 6; therefore, we went ahead and celebrated their birthdays on Halloween.  Drew blowing out the candles with Chase and Hank...

Carving pumpkins

We finally got to carve pumpkins with the boys this year, and it was so much fun!  I have always wanted to do this, but our schedules are always crazy around Halloween!  But, we made time this year and the boys loved it!  Here they are scooping the "yucky stuff" out :)

Ironman pumpkin

Chase had to decorate a paper pumpkin for school...and he could do whatever he wanted to with it.  He decided that he wanted to make it an Ironman pumpkin, and he insisted that he wear his Ironman costume while he did it :)  Here are some pictures of he and Drew making it.  Drew supervised, but Chase did most of it by himself!

Trip to the Mountains

Every Fall we go to my Aunt Kay and Uncle Billy's cabin in North Carolina and we always have soooo much fun!  This year was no exception!  The boys loved it....Chase had a great time last year, but this was the first year that Hank could really enjoy it too!  We hung out at the cabin a good bit......

We hiked up Whiteside Mountain and the boys did great!  Chase hiked all the way up all by himself and he did great!  (He did the same thing last year, but this year he was much faster!:)  Hank had fun riding on Daddy's back!

Drew had to find Hank sticks along the way to keep him occupied:)

After that, we went to a park in town at had a picnic and the boys played on the playground....the playground is very similar to one we have here, but Chase later told us that the playground was his favorite part of the whole trip :)

We also went to see some waterfalls and the boys loved that!!!  We had never done this before, so it was fun to do something new!

I love this picture, because I was far away from Chase, but he still noticed me taking his picture and made sure to wave :)

Chase took this picture of Drew and me so I had to include it!  We were so proud of him...he is getting to be such a big boy!  I am not sure when Drew and I last got a picture of just the two of us!
